Exquisite Vintage 14k Yellow Gold ~3.5ct Sapphire Bar Pin Brooch
Presented is a stunning 14K gold and sapphire bar pin.  The pin is topped with
12 beautifully faceted blue sapphires.  Each stone measures approximately 3.8
millimeters in size.  We estimate the total carat weight in sapphires to be at
least 3.5 carats, perhaps more.  It should be mentioned that the sapphires look
significantly better in person than they do in our photographs. The stones are
well set in a heavy weight yellow gold mounting.  The pin is exceptionally well
made and has a very secure clasp as shown in the photographs.  This pin was made
around the first quarter of the 1900s, and almost certainly in the United
States.
The pin is not marked, but we have tested it with nitric acid and guarantee
it to be 14K gold.
The condition is excellent.  There are minor surface abrasions to the
sapphires, but this is minor and only noticeable on very close inspection.
There are no cracks, no splits, no breaks, and no repairs.
The pin measures approximately 3/16 inch wide and 1 7/8 inches long.
The weight is 4.6 grams.
