Description
Maker: This pretty white floral square plate has the black anchor mark of Royal Chelsea, a trade name of the New Chelsea Porcelain Co. Ltd. of Staffordshire, England.
The company produced mid to high-end pottery from 1912 until 1951, when it was sold to Susie Cooper Pottery Ltd., later associated with the classic English maker Wedgwood.
The company used the "Royal Chelsea” mark from about 1943.
Size
: The plate is 8 3/4 inches square.
Condition
: It has no nicks, marks, scratches, cracks or repairs. There is light crazing, particularly on the back, and two small chips on the back; they are not visible from the front. They're shown in the photos with the penny and account for the low price.
Please check all the photos very carefully - they are an important part of the description.
