    N Scale Smudge Pots & Flood Irrigation Valve Kit

    This is a set of 10 smudge pots (orchard heaters) and one flood irrigation valve.
    Smudge Pots are used to protect orchard fruit from the frost
    and flood valves are used to irrigate the orchard.
    If you have citrus trees on your layout from the 1910-70's era,
    then you'll need these smudge pots to keep your investment from freezing on these cold days.
    Available in both HO and N scales.
    Smudge pots were developed after a disastrous freeze in Southern California in January, 1913.
    With fuel prices and environmental concerns smudge pots fell out of favor in the 70s.
