Thank You for Shopping In the USA!
A great original doctor's Prohibition Liquor Prescription stub for Whiskey...Zxxxii! This stub was open to inspection by federal officers! Please see photo!
From the days of Al Capone, flappers and moonshine this was the only legal way to drink liquor in the US!
The whiskey was prescribed for Leo Albano, by Dr. F. (Frank) M. Laurenzana
, both of Chicago, IL, on May 28, 1933.
It was issued by the Treasury Department, when held to the light, INDUSTRIAL ALCOHOL is partially watermarked. Printed in red ink is: "This stub must be clearly and
legibly written, and must not be detached from the book".
The prescription stub measures 4 1/2" by 3", has a long bend on the left side, otherwise, condition is excellent...a great ditty from the Prohibition!
This is a fantastic piece of history and would be great to display in a pharmacy, doctor's office, museum, bar or office!
This is a FANTASTIC piece of history and would be great to display in a pharmacy, B & B, restaurant, distillery, museum, bar or office! Also a great gift or an addition to a collection of pharmacy, medicine, US currency, Alcoholics Anonymous, Capone, 1920s, bar, Americana, stamps and DEA items!
Pleased to combine shipping with other Prohibition Prescriptions, Liquor Licenses, Opium Forms & Pharmacy Labels. As always, many thanks to my regular customers for your continued patronage! :)
