Description

Train Junkies presents
"Donner Pass (no sheds)" N Scale Background.
Many of you have asked us to remove the snow sheds from our Donner Pass background, so here you go.
Photographed by our professional railroad photographer
and created from 13 individual photos, t
his backdrop is in one continuous print,
a full 80 inches long by 12 inches high.
Printed on special, high quality, coated photographic paper.
Since the 1860s, first the Central Pacific, then the Southern Pacific (and now the Union Pacific)
hauled freight and passengers
over the Sierra Nevada Mountains,
cresting the 7,000 foot high, infamous 'Donner Pass'
.
Built by near-slave labor the tracks pull out of Soda Springs, California, through tunnels
and snow sheds as it makes it way down, nearly 2,000 feet, to the town of Truckee,
then snakes along the Truckee River into Reno.
In the Westward direction, the tracks of the transcontinental railroad wind their way for
125 miles to the banks of the Sacramento River.
Add realism and depth to your N scale layout.
Why paint when you can have the real thing?
Reverse Backdrop also available.
