Upgraded AK 47 AIRSOFT. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS First Class.Let’s say that you bought a cheap starter gun, and after a few months it shoots craps on you. You have a buddy who’s a tech, and you sheepishly hand over your broken gun to him and ask him to get it running for you again. He winks at you and says, “I got you, Fam”.
This is the gun you would get back.
When I first got this gun, it was in pieces. It had a polymer body with faux wood furniture that was still in good shape. The gear box, however, was dead, so I cracked it open. Frankly, I’m still pissed about what I found in there.
There were cheap pot-metal gears sitting in a nest of shredded green plastic. The trigger switch was made out of the same cheap plastic and was *melted*. The bushings were even made out of green plastic.
So, I pulled some boneyard parts out of my collection, and got it running. But still, I didn’t feel right about it. All of the original parts in there were just waiting to fail again. I just couldn’t bring myself to sell the gun the way as it was.
So, I said, “Screw it”, and picked up a brand new CYMA gearbox with a high torque motor.
CYMA is famous for their AKs, and this gear box is the same one they put in their more expensive rifles. It’s a game changer. (I would use a 7.4 V battery, or better yet-a 9.6 V battery, to get the most out of this gear box.)
But, I couldn’t stop there. I have a passion about teching, and I can’t help but rebuild the guns in my shop into something better than they originally were when they were new.
So, I touched up the paint, shellacked the fake wood parts to make them look more realistic, and put in a Maple Leaf bucking and Angel Customs H-Hop nub.
New, this gun was advertised as shooting at 320-340 FPS. It’s now shooting between 366-369 FPS with .20 G BBs.
So here’s the deal. Brand new, this thing was 0, and the gear box was an embarrassment.
I’ll sell this to you with the internals of a much better gun for 5 shipped. It’s still nothing fancy-but this time, it’s actually a *good* starter gun that will shoot a lot better-and be a *lot* more reliable.
