From the Connecticut Estate of a highly respected neurologist and medical school professor comes this
Vintage CHROME TROMNER PERCUSSOR REFLEX HAMMER with a Brush which Screws Into ths Base and a Pin which Screws Into the Head.
Measuring about 7 1/2” long, this neurologist's examination device was provided by the makers of the medication IMITREX. As shown, it looks like one of the rubber ends was exposed to heat and has melted.
This device was used to gently hit the patient at different parts of the anatomy (knee, elbow, heel) to determine the patient's reflexes.
