    Description

    Vintage 1940s US NAVY Delta Electric Co. PortableWWII Signal Lantern Lamp.
    Made by Delta Electric Co., which boasts it made the very 1stbattery powered portable lantern. It was either mounted on a Battleship,Submarine, or Tugboat during WWII. It's a great piece of history.
    Not tested, but the toggle switch works as it should and the lens
    is clear with no cracks and bulb looks to be intact. Battery compartmentis clean. Lantern has been repainted red, looks to be period-correctpaint.
    There are no missing screws. Inside looks clean.
    Battery compartment painted original battleship gray.  Very solidpiece of equipment. No weak areas.
    Measurements are 10" height including handle, 7-3/4" width x4-3/4" depth, 5-3/8" lamp casing diameter, and the unit weighs 4pounds 9 ounces.
