The blue one is NAVSHIPS 324-0023 GYRO-COMPASS Mark 14 Operator's Guide.
This has illustrations on every page. Has 61 pages, measures 4.5 X 7.5 inches.
The black book is "The Gyroscope and its Uses" published by Sperry Gyroscope Company.
The front and back covers are detached but present.
This book has 24 pages and measures 5 X 7 inches.
