I believe this is a brake return spring removal tool that was used on the Willys MB and Ford GPW Military Jeep tool kits, and also may have been used for other military vehicles during the era, such as the Dodge WC and CCKW
I believe this to be the same tool as referenced to Federal stock # 41-P-1579, as referred to in several TM’s as TM-9-1808B for the Dodge WC and CCKU
The tool is embossed on the removal end;
Bonney 2680 USA, PAT 2264391
(US PAT CHART 1941)
The tool is 12 1/2" long, and I believe it is cadmium plated.
The tool is in good condition, shows little use, and tool moves freely……
As with the Vintage of the tool, there is some light normal wear, a few dings, and some discoloration, as noted from the photos.
