WW 2 Era Engineer's Dietzgen Maniphase Multiplex Slide Rule 1732 (Rare) w/CaseSlide rules were used in Artillery and Ranging as well as Photography in scaling targets. These were the "computers" of the armed forces and industry before there were computers.
Providence: This slide rule came with a group of military items I purchased in auction 2 years ago.
It is great shape for its age and still works.

apparently dates from 1944 to 1952. Three U.S. Naval Academy professors applied for the patents.
